Azerbaijani singer Ulviyya began her career at the age of 12 with the ensemble group “Beri Bax’ led by well-known singer Rauf Babayev.  She was a long time collaborator with pianist and winner of the 2009 Montreaux Jazz Festival Isfar Sarabski as well as with many others at the Baku Jazz center. Ulviyya sings jazz with accents of local rhythms and a soulful, yet optimistic sound. Her influences include jazz standards, bossa nova, soul and traditional music from the Caucasus. Her music fuses these styles to create a unique, personal sound.
Currently she is a singer-songwriter based in Europe performing her own works and also stylized covers of current hits.
